Mollenvanger Mindert Kloosterman heeft al 100.000 gevangen

Een uit de hand gelopen hobby, zou je het gerust kunnen noemen. Mindert Kloosterman heeft al heel wat mollenklemmen gezet in de tuinen en weilanden van Surhuizum en omgeving. Kloosterman heeft vele mollenklemmen thuis liggen. De eerste mol werd op jonge leeftijd gevangen en zo volgden er dus nog duizenden. De mollen kennen Mindert ondertussen maar al te goed, maar er is een soort die hij nog nooit is tegengekomen. De albinomol staat nog op het verlanglijstje. “Ik haw yn myn libben tûzenen fongen, mar noch nea in wite”, vertelt mollenvanger Mindert Kloosterman bij streekomroep RTV NOF.

Nijs fan Pleatslik Belang

Bêste minsken, it is alwer in skoftke lyn dat jim fan ús hearden. De winter is hast foarby en de dagen wurde wer langer. Wy sjogge út nei in moaie tiid mei leuke eveneminten. Geane jo as feriening in evenemint organisearje wêrby 't it hiele doarp wolkom is? Nim in kear kontakt mei ús op en miskien kinne wy wat foar elkoar betsjutte.

Slach om ’e Toer treft prima wandelweer

Op de laatste vrijdag van het jaar stond in Surhuizum de twaalfde editie van de wandeltocht Slach om ’e Toer op het programma. Ruim voor de start om 8.30 uur hadden de eerste wandelaars zich al ingeschreven bij het startbureau in MFC De Delfeart. Nadat de laatste regen was vertrokken, vertrokken ook de eerste wandelaars met een stevige tegenwind vanuit Surhuizum richting Harkema.

De 3e editie van de Meint Beukema Classic wederom geslaagd!

Op 28 december werd de 3e editie van de Meint Beukema Classic verreden.

Vooraf dreigde hetzelfde scenario als dat van de vorige editie... Het bleef maar regenen de afgelopen maanden. Hierdoor moest de route nog een paar keer worden aangepast omdat hier en daar de toestemming, wat zeer begrijpelijk is, was ingetrokken of niet meer te doen was.

Dat mocht de pret niet drukken en tussen 9.30 en 11.00 uur vertrokken er zo’n 200 deelnemers vanuit Surhuizum voor hun tocht door de Fryske Wâlden.

Oprichting vereniging

Op 25 juli jl. hebben Willem en Fré als initiators de handtekening gezet voor het officieel op richten van de Toer Fiets Club It Surhúster Fyts Ploechje.

Hier hebben we op onze eerste zeer gezellige vergadering en inschrijfavond met een drankje en een hapje bij stil gestaan. We konden meteen 15 personen inschrijven. Een ieder is dan meteen lid van de NTFU zodat we allemaal verzekerd op pad gaan.

Sinterklaasavontuur in Surhuizum: Op zoek naar het grote boek

Zaterdagmiddag 25 november rond kwart voor één arriveerde Sinterklaas met zijn Pieten in Surhuizum, bij het dorpshuis. Veel ouders stonden samen met hun kinderen vol spanning te wachten. Plotseling verschenen er twee Pieten op het dak, die met opwinding meldden dat het grote boek zoek was geraakt. Ze besloten het in het dorp te gaan zoeken.
